PACA Center
The Chewelah Performing and Cultural Arts (PACA) Center is an organization
formed in May, 2007 to create Chewelah's very own performance and cultural
center, a Facility
available to the entire Chewelah community. Select a link in the left-panel
to learn more about who we are and our activities.
Mission
Statement
Our mission is to bring together leadership and resources to create and
sustain a center of excellence to educate, inspire, and celebrate the
performing and visual arts in Chewelah, Washington.
Update
IRS has granted 501(c)3 nonprofit status to PACA on April 19, 2009, allowing
all donations to PACA to be tax deducible, retroactive to August 28, 2008.
Negotiations are taking place with the City of Chewelah about the date
when PACA might take over the old armory building.
PACA Board
Meetings
PACA board meetings are held at 5:30pm the 4th Tuesday of each month,
except December (no meeting), at the Chewelah City Hall, Council Chambers,
301 E. Clay St. Chewelah, WA 99109. All are welcome.
The EVENT 4
Chewelah Performing and Cultural Arts Center (PACA) is hosting THE EVENT
4, 2nd Annual PACAwards on February 26, 2011 at the Chewelah Civic Center
at 7:00 pm. Make sure to vote for your favorite events of 2010 in Theatre,
Visual Arts, Dance and Music. Ballots and ballot boxes are available at
Akers, Valley Drug, FloweryTrail Coffee House and The Independent. Voting
closes at 5pm on Thursday February 24. Awards will be handed out and this
year's entertainment will be highlights from some of your favorite performances
for 2010 and a sneak peek at some upcoming performances. Doors will open
at 6:30 pm and admission is a $5.00 minimum donation. Door prizes and
updates on the project will follow the entertainment. All proceeds go
directly to the fundraising efforts for a new theatrical venue in Chewelah.
